Financial Accountant

A well-established organisation with a sizeable asset-backed portfolio is seeking an a technical Accountant to focus on their fixed asset base to support the financial performance, funding oversight, and life-cycle management of a large and diverse asset base.

This is a commercially focused analytical role, offering exposure to senior stakeholders, funders, and complex funding structures. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving insight, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic investment decisions.

Reporting into the finance/asset management function, you will be responsible for analysing asset performance across a large portfolio, supporting funding facilities, and ensuring accurate, timely financial and management reporting.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Monitoring and analysing asset performance, profitability, cashflows, and KPIs

• Preparing financial models, forecasts, and performance reports for senior stakeholders

• Supporting asset acquisitions, disposals, and due diligence activity

• Ensuring covenant compliance and reporting across securitised and non-securitised funding facilities

• Liaising with external funders and supporting audits and regulatory submissions

• Supporting cashflow forecasting, liquidity management, and treasury controls

• Overseeing fixed asset accounting, CAPEX tracking, and IFRS 16 lease reporting

You will be an analytical, detail-oriented finance professional who is comfortable working with complex data in a fast-paced environment.

You are likely to have:

• A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)

• Experience in asset management, treasury, financial analysis, or financial accounting

• Strong financial modelling and Excel capability

• The ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information clearly

• A proactive, organised approach with strong stakeholder management skills
