Overview

Our client, a vibrant and fast-growing Services business based in Birmingham City Centre, is seeking a practical, hands-on Finance Manager who thrives in a true SME environment. If you’re the type of finance professional who enjoys rolling up your sleeves, taking full ownership, and making things happen, this role will be right up your street.

Working closely with the Finance Director, you’ll be the driving force behind day-to-day finance operations and month-end reporting. This is a role where you’ll get stuck into everything – from producing management accounts, VAT returns, and overseeing ledgers, through to budgeting, forecasting, and improving processes. You’ll also lead a small team and play a key role in keeping the finance function running smoothly as the business continues its impressive growth journey.

Skills Needed

• Be part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or QBE with strong SME experience and the confidence to own a busy, varied finance function.

• Enjoy being hands-on, comfortable jumping between transactional oversight, reporting, analysis, and problem-solving.

• Have experience improving processes and implementing smarter, more efficient ways of working.

• Be confident building relationships across the business, especially in a fast-paced, creative environment.
