Accounts Manager

Overview

Our client, a progressive and fast-growing Marketing business based in Birmingham City Centre, is looking for an experienced and motivated Accounts Manager to join their collaborative finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key role within a business that champions innovation, teamwork, and personal growth. You’ll oversee a small, capable team while taking ownership of financial reporting, process improvement, and partnering closely with senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.

Working directly alongside the Finance Director, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate, insightful management and financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, and VAT returns, as well as supporting on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. You’ll also play a hands-on role in overseeing transactional ledgers and ensuring smooth day-to-day financial operations across the department.

Skills Needed

• Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or QBE, with solid experience in management accounting.
• Proven ability to deliver full management accounts, budgets, and forecasts with accuracy and clarity.
• Experience in a commercial or service-led environment, comfortable taking on varied responsibilities.
• A proactive mindset with a track record of improving systems and processes.
