Finance Director

An established, rapidly expanding UK services group is seeking a Finance Director to join its senior leadership team. The business has experienced significant organic and acquisitive growth, now operating across multiple sites nationally with turnover exceeding £35m and ambitious expansion plans.

This is a key strategic appointment, offering the opportunity to lead the finance function of a dynamic, growth-focused group. You’ll work closely with the CFO,CEO and Board to shape financial strategy, strengthen reporting and control frameworks, and drive commercial insight across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the finance team and oversee all aspects of Group financial reporting and control.
• Deliver robust forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis to support decision-making.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, reporting, and MI.
• Support the Board with M&A activity, integration of acquisitions, and funding projects.
• Maintain a strong control environment and ensure full statutory compliance.
• Act as a key business partner to operational leaders, influencing growth and profitability.

About You

• ACA-qualified (or equivalent), ideally trained in a Big 4 or Top 10 audit firm.
• Strong technical grounding in accounting and audit, combined with proven FP&A and commercial finance experience.
• Experience in a multi-entity or acquisitive environment preferred.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to operate strategically and tactically.
• Collaborative leadership style with the ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
