Junior Accounts Assistant

We’re partnered with a thriving services firm that have experienced exponential growth globally and have offices based across the UK including their head office in Birmingham City Centre. Due to this growth, they are looking to make a new addition to their team and welcome onboard to the team a Junior Accounts Assistant. The successful candidate will be a confident individual with a solution-oriented mindset and strong interpersonal skills, eager to work in a position where they can get involved in the company’s financial processes.

This role will be reporting into the Finance Manager and working within a lovely team of experienced finance professionals who are happy to show you the ropes of the business and its accounts payable and receivable processes. Your duties will include but aren’t limited to processing and raising invoices, bank and supplier reconciliations, chasing overdue payments, responding to stakeholder queries, credit checks and payment plans, setting up supplier accounts, etc.

What you will need:

• Whilst it’s not essential, it is advantageous to have prior experience with accounts payable and/or accounts receivable processes.
• A positive and motivated attitude, with excellent organisational and time‑management abilities to meet deadlines and support a fast‑paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ideally familiarity with accounting systems to help you hit the ground running.
• Strong communication skills, enabling you to confidently liaise with stakeholders both internally and externally
