Finance Manager

Our client is a well-established, privately-owned manufacturing business based in Bilston, with a turnover of £16 million and a reputation for quality, reliability, and innovation. As the company continues to grow and invest in its operations, we are seeking a commercially minded Finance Manager to join the leadership team and drive financial performance.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of the finance function, providing strategic insight and robust financial control to support profitable growth. This is a hands-on role with a mix of management accounting, financial reporting, and commercial analysis. My client is looking for a hands on Finance Manager, who is happy to be out and about on the shop floor building internal relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Produce monthly management accounts, forecasts, and annual budgets.

• Develop KPIs to monitor performance and support operational decision-making.

• Manage cash flow, working capital, and cost control initiatives.

• Oversee payroll, VAT, and compliance with statutory requirements.

• Provide commercial insight to the leadership team to support strategic growth and repoting into the group.

The Candidate

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE with strong SME experience.

• Proven track record in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

• Hands-on approach, able to operate strategically and operationally.

• Strong commercial awareness and ability to partner with senior management.
