Management Accountant

Overview

Our food manufacturing client in Birmingham is looking for a Management Accountant to join its close-knit finance function. This established business is offering the right candidate the chance to play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial insight to support senior leadership, joining a driven and capable team, supported by years of sector knowledge.

This is a broad and hands-on position, where you’ll take ownership of management reporting, commercial analysis, and statutory requirements. You’ll be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, preparing VAT returns, and supporting with forecasting and budgeting. Working closely with both finance and non-finance stakeholders, you’ll provide valuable commentary around business performance, margin, and operational KPIs.

Skills Required

• Actively studying towards the final stages of CIMA/ACCA, or Qualified by Experience (QBE).
• Previous experience in manufacturing or a similar fast-paced industry is desirable.
• Exposure to VAT returns and indirect tax compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence when partnering with both finance and operational teams.
