Overview
My client, a prestigious distribution and retail business operating nationwide, are experiencing a sustained period of growth and looking to appoint a Junior Commercial Accountant into their medium sized function, based out of a beautiful office in Solihull. The successful candidate will be a fundamental part of the Commercial team, working closely with senior stakeholders to prepare accurate month end packs and analyse a host of store and product performances, detailing variance.
The successful candidate will be ingrained in extrapolating intricate data from large Excel sheets, and using BI & Sequel to translate numbers into commercial insights to impact critical business decisions. You will be challenging opinions and using your accounting knowledge to weave a story for products and stores alike. Due to the source of the data, it is fundamental you have had exposure to the P&L, balance sheets and a host of journals, of which you will be involved in this role.
Skills Needed
- Be Excel savvy, and enjoy getting deep in the data to interrogate figures.
- Looking for a fast paced and challenging role, which puts just as much emphasis on the data side as the personal element.
- Currently be studying, and looking to qualify in ACCA/CIMA.
- Have experience working with stakeholders outside of finance.
