Finance Manager

We’re partnering with a long-established UK manufacturing business that forms part of a global group. They are seeking a technically strong Finance Manager to lead on all aspects of statutory reporting, compliance, and financial control.

This role would suit a detail-oriented accountant with experience in a regulated, audit-heavy environment-ideally within manufacturing or industrial sectors.

The Role:

• Lead the preparation of statutory accounts under UK GAAP and support group-level consolidation under IFRS

• Manage audit processes, liaising with external auditors and internal stakeholders

• Ensure compliance with corporation tax, VAT, and other statutory requirements

• Maintain and improve internal financial controls in line with group and regulatory standards (SOX exposure beneficial)

• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, intercompany accounting, and lease accounting

• Collaborate with group finance teams across global locations on reporting deadlines and requirements

• Drive improvements in reporting processes and internal documentation

• Support occasional involvement in ad hoc projects, ERP changes, or policy updates

About You:

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong technical reporting experience

• Experience preparing or auditing statutory accounts within a UK-based business

• Background in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred (but not essential)

• Comfortable working in a corporate group structure with US or global reporting lines

• Strong understanding of UK GAAP; IFRS knowledge desirable

• Excellent attention to detail and documentation

• Hands-on, proactive approach with good communication skills
