Accounts Assistant

This company has a new opportunity now available for an Accounts Assistant to join their Finance team. Based in the Birmingham City Centre, this company is renowned for their tailored specialist services, however behind a great company lies a great finance team. In this role you will play a key role in a dynamic finance team, contributing to the maintenance of both the sales and purchase ledger.

Reporting into the Finance manager, this is a varied role where the successful candidate will be covering duties from raising and processes invoices, chasing payments, handling client queries, to completing supplier and bank reconciliations, assisting with payment runs and many more. As you will be overseeing the end to end processes on both ledgers (payable and receivable), you will be the main point of contact for multiple stakeholders including suppliers and clients. Due to this its essential that you have strong interpersonal skills and you are confident building strong relationships with them to ensure the efficiency of processes.

What you will need:

• Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure strong communication lines between internal and external stakeholders.
• Prior experience in a Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant position is essential, whilst not a requirement it is also advantageous if this is within the services sector.
• Proficiency with Excel including Pivot tables and VLOOKUPS, as well as prior experience with accountancy software (e.g. SAGE)
• A track record of working collaboratively in a team and demonstrating a proactive nature.
