My client is a long established manufacturing business based just outside of Birmingham City Centre and they have a need for a Payroll Clerk to join their team on a temporary basis to cover a period of maternity.

Joining a small team and reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be processing the payroll for around 50 weekly employees and 200 monthly employees from start to finish, calculating and issuing payslips, dealing with employee pay queries, and producing reports. This is a great opportunity to join a small and friendly finance team where you will be made to feel at home from day one!

Skills required:

  • Experience of processing a payroll of a similar size from start to finish
  • Strong MS Excel skills for producing payroll reports
  • Excellent people and problem solving skills in order to resolve payroll queries
  • Be immediately available or on a short notice period
